Daniel Foster

Daniel became the Executive Director of The Community Foundation Serving Riverside and San Bernardino Counties in January 2009. Since then, he has overseen a successful fundraising campaign raising nearly $4 million in gifts, donations and contributions in 2009. Foster’s responsibilities at TCF include executive management over one of the largest nonprofit philanthropic foundations in the region. From 2003-09, Daniel was the Executive Director of the Riverside Art Museum. He is regarded as a “change agent” for arts & culture in the region and an important catalyst for establishing the city of Riverside as the “City of Arts & Culture”. In 2008, Foster received the Outstanding Nonprofit Executive Director Award from the Agency Executives Association for Riverside County. Foster received a $25,000
award grant as a Finalist for the James Irvine Foundation Leadership Award that recognized outstanding leadership achievements throughout the state of California. Foster received an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute with honors in 1995, and a BS degree from the University of Southern California School of Business in Entrepreneurship in 1988. Aside from his professional/career pursuits, Foster is an accomplished artist and poet with an an extensive multi-disciplinary body of work and exhibition record for the past 25 years.
